Dear Chamber and Prospective Members:

It's a new Membership Year!  The Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce is so thankful for your ongoing financial contributions that are vital to our ability to deliver support for local business and events that enhance our city!

The Chamber of Commerce relies on membership support for operating during the year. Memberships are not just paid and forgotten; during each membership year, the Chamber seeks to provide the maximum amount of benefits to our members, with recent additions such as free document shredding in the Chamber office.  The Chamber also offers networking opportunities during events such as the Chamber's Annual Banquet.

The Chamber does not receive any direct funding from the City of Rocky Ford.  We do receive in-kind assistance from the City, such as Depot Plaza maintenance and small work-order items.  The Chamber neither receives money from nor reports revenue to the City.

The Chamber has one paid employee, our Manager, and all Board Members are volunteer.  The Chamber relies on these and other volunteers to undertake the sometimes-overwhelming task of organizing the events on our calendar.  We always welcome anyone seeking volunteer opportunities, member or not.

2020

Due to COVID-19 most events have been cancelled this year.

Trunk or Treat-October 31, 2020 an outside event for our trick or treaters

Parade of Lights and Community Dinner (late November). We kick off the holiday season with a festive and lively parade of lights followed by a free dinner for our community.  Hot chocolate, cookies and Santa Claus (and a bounce house) make this a memorable evening.

In addition to the set calendar of events, the Chamber will be hosting a series of no-charge seminars presented by Sangre de Cristo Hospice covering a variety of hospice and caregiver topics; we are planning a summer series of community after hours to facilitate business networking opportunities; the Chamber will host financial topics workshops tailored to your needs and requests; and we plan to host some pop-up marketplaces in our lovely Plaza space (from produce to antiques, there are so many possibilities!).

If you'd like more information on the Chamber, please stop by the office or come to one of our meetings (first Thursday of each month, 5:30 pm in the Chamber office).  We look forward to an exciting year of serving our member!

Sincerely,

The Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
