Our Story
Established in 1945, the Chamber of Commerce has since supported the business community of Rocky Ford.
In 1987, the Sante Fe Railroad sold the property and the old Railroad Deopt to the City of Rocky Ford for $1. After Renovations, the building became the home of the Rocky Ford Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas Valley Fair.
The Edward Gobin Community Room, known today as the Baggage Room was the main revenue stream for the Chamber of Commerce in addition to their memberships.
In 1997 William L. Gobin Building was built through the generous donations by the many founding families in Rocky Ford. Since it's construction, the Gobin Building has been a staple in the community, providing a space to celebrate what makes Rocky Ford such a special place to live. It's namesake, The Honorable Judge William L. Gobin's family continues to support the Chamber of Commerce and their management of the Gobin Complex through their trustees.
